Funky, spacious cafe with a "homey" feel created by the dark wood tones used throughout with an eclectic mix of comfy furniture, ornaments and paintings. There's even an old wooden piano! Sit anywhere to get a full view into the open kitchen & the large, full ranged wall menu. Order at the counter. The person who cooked the meal with often bring it out to you!

I don't know if the other writers went to the same cafe I did becuase I would have loved to write something similar but can't. The owner stands there yelling at customers and staff, she has no respect for time. We waited over an hour for an omlett on the weekend and it came out wrong, we asked for a peice of bread while it was being fixed and the owner said no. The lack of customer appreciation and the degrading manner of which she speaks to staff has pushed me to seek another breakfast spot. There isn't even air circulating in the cafe and the staff say the air con has been broken for months. I wouldn't eat here again if it was free.

I went here on 24.05.09 for the 1st time & wanted to stay all day! My eggs benedict ($10) was sublime - free range eggs, house-made hollandaise, good balance of ham & perfectly wilted spinach on Turkish (instead of the usual English breakfast muffin). Coffee ($3.80) was perfect & served in a mug! After breakfast, I read a book I grabbed from the bookshelf for a bit. I noticed a young local brought her laptop (wireless provided) & settled in on the cream couch whilst others took their time enjoying coffee & newspapers. This place is not too crowded....yet!

Absolutely the top cafe in the area. Great food, great low-key atmosphere, clean and open feel, young (yet professional) staff). A real hidden gem!
